Parents of a military force member: don’t forget that we are here for you as well!
To help you better cope with your son or daughter’s absence, the VMFRC made a guide which will allow you to get a more realistic idea of your child’s military daily life. Several topics are covered such as the everyday life of a military force member during a mission, incident procedures, how to keep in touch with a military force member during his mission, feelings generated by deployments, as well as available resources.
Do you have questions about your son or daughter’s mission? Dial 1-800-866-4546 to receive answers to all of your questions.
A few meetings are scheduled to help you cope with the deployment of your son or daughter: Preparing the Departure, Preparing the Return and Raising Awareness about Post-Deployment Impacts. Register now!
A confidential line allows you to talk to a volunteer about the deployment of your child and what you are going through.
You can also make an appointment with our social workers.
You can get involved with all kinds of fields: secretarial work, deployment support, resource center, family holidays, to only name a few.
You have time to give to the military family community? We need you! We will be happy to welcome you among our volunteers.
