Do you feel lost when facing the numerous programs? Is your job hunting difficult? Do you need to improve your English or French skills? At the VMFRC, we are here to help you!

Clientele

  • People actively seeking a job or contemplating a return to employment or studies;
  • Spouses of service members;
  • Retired service members;
  • Reservists;
  • Children of service members who are 18 years of age or older;
  • Anglophones from the civilian community in Quebec Region.

Mission

Help the person to establish a career project that takes into account their interests, their skills and their experiences, and also that allows them to join the labour market in a satisfying and lasting manner.


Three main services
are offered in French or in English for free.

Services

Educational and professional counselling:

  • Needs assessment;
  • Interests, values and skills assessment, self-knowledge;
  • Customized psychometric tests;
  • Educational and occupational information;
  • Financial support Information;
  • Cumulative record evaluation.

Job-finding assistance :

  • Job Search Strategies;
  • Résumé and letters of presentation writing;
  • Interviewing techniques, contacting the employers and monitoring the job;
  • External resources reference in case of need.

  • Individual support at any time;

  • Educational and occupational information;

Knowing a second language constitutes an important hiring factor on the labour market.

Language Course (English And French)

Clientele

  • Service members
  • Spouses of service members
  • B and C class reservists
  • A class reservists
  • Civilians (The priority will go to the service members’ community.)

Registration fees

  • Free for service members, their spouses, as well as for B and C class reservists (However, a 50$ deposit is required for registration: this amount will be returned to the student at the end of the session if they have attended 75 % of their courses or more.);
  • 100 $, which is non refundable, for civilians and A class reservists.
