In case of emergency, the VMFRC offers childcare services for children of all ages, available 24/7. However, this service must be seen as a security blanket and be used only as a last resort. We can also help you elaborate a family childcare plan.
Are you going through some difficult times? Are you exhausted? Thanks to the Childcare Service, the Valcartier Family Center can provide you with periods of rest. Please note that you must meet the admissibility criteria. Those periods of respite can be used without interruption or on several weeks, depending on your needs. For a respite request, you must make an appointment with an intervener of the Family Center who will evaluate you needs.
Do you occasionally need a couple of hours without your children? Whether for grocery shopping or a job interview, the Occasional Childcare Service can help you out:
The Nursery
welcomes children aged 0-2
Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to noon
The Stop-Over Center
welcomes children aged 2-5
From Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A list pointing out other childcare services is also available at the Center’s reception.
