PREVENTION AND HELPING RELATION

This section covers resources set up for individuals experiencing personal or relationship problems.

At the VMFRC, we listen to your concerns! We provide prevention and helping relation services to support and accompany you through different steps of your life.

Are You Preoccupied By One Of The Following Situations:

  • Marital discords
  • Behavioral difficulties with your elementary grade children
  • Difficult parent-child relations
  • Questioning about parental skills
  • Adaptation difficulties
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Depressive state
  • Bad self-esteem
  • Need of a personal toll
  • Other ill-being situation

Please come meet us to receive help! A mental health professional team will be able to guide you toward the most fitting resources for your situation.

Help Fitting Your Needs

  • Meeting with individuals, families or couples
  • Interview style meeting with children, teenagers and adults
  • Group for children that have witnessed a parental separation
  • Group for mourning children
  • Group for families with a member affected by an operational stress injury(E=MC3)
  • The intervener on behalf of families works with Valcartier’s Staff Support Integrated Center (ISSP) to offer services and support to the mourning families as well as those coping with the disease or the injury of the military force member. The main services are:
    • Welcoming, listening to people and evaluating the needs.
    • Information and references to civil or military support services available to the family.
    • Point-to-point basis monitoring.
    • Union with workers involved when necessary.

Clientele

Anyone with a member of their family in the regular Force or in the B or C class Reserve can apply.
